Employees travelling to and from work by bus in the Translink network within south east Queensland are eligible to package this benefit. The TransLink network stretches as far north as Gympie, south to Coolangatta and west to Helidon.
The Bus Travel Benefit could make saving as easy as touch on, tax off with the new TransLink smart card. This card will work the same as a Translink Go card and will let you pay for bus travel with pre-tax dollars, helping your salary stretch that much further.
The Bus Travel Benefit could help you save:
- money by paying for bus travel (to and from work) with pre-tax salary
- time thanks to automatic top-up – the new TransLink smart card will be topped up with pre-tax dollars when the balance falls below $5 and then it’s as simple as touching on at the start of the bus ride and touching off at the end.
